Last Review: OK so my boyfriend and I had dinner at Table 8 finally! We had been talking about it for a while, however, didn?t get around to it soon enough. The first night we went, we opted to sit at the bar. We enjoyed the bar immensely. We tried the house drink special called Pear Ginger Fizz; it was so good and refreshing. We started with the lobster rolls (yummy), smoked artichokes (delish), tuna confit (wow) and butter lettuce salad (that I have to imitate from time to time at home!) we also had the world famous grilled cheese with pulled short rib (there are no words to describe how good it was). One of the more memorable events of the night is when Rising Star Chef, Chef Govind Armstrong came out to ask about our meal and we chatted about how everything had its own distinctive flavor, smell and taste. We loved the whole experience and the energy. Whenever, we decide to leave the downtown area, Table 8 will definitely be a viable option! DownTown Tan

Last Review: We went with a party of 5 on a Wednesday night. The service was excellent but the fish just did not taste fresh. The seared scallops were great. The mackerel, toro and yellow tail sushi were just ok, but the spicy tuna roll tasted off. When I asked the waitress she said it was because the roll is not prepared with any mayonnaise. I don't understand how mayonnaise could cover that much fishiness. I wish the food was better because the atmosphere and the staff were pleasant.

Last Review: Food is excellent. The wait staff, can be pretty amateur, although some are really nice. Food can take a bit to cook even when there isn't many people there, but it's a nice place to sit and talk while watching people walk by. There's tables outside the establishment so you can take your pets.

Last Review: My eldest son took me here for a drink the other day and although it had great decor and design, it wasn't really the place for someone around my demographic unless they were an agent or roundabout. Nice place, but the crowd is best left to the younger ones.

Last Review: Now this place is called KAFFE ROUGE, and one word AMAZING! Bird Cage did suck, but the new owners that made a 100% transformation from what it was and what it is will blow your mind away. It's a nice, classy, yet casusal place to smoke delicious hookah and eat the most awesome food at. I really like it and I'm there ATLEAST once a week! You wont regret it, it's a nice place to check out =)

Boe
Address:403 N Crescent Dr
Beverly Hills, CA
Phone: (310) 247-0505
Rating: 3
Last Review: LA, as Manhattan, has fallen victim to the hackneyed concept of the "boutique hotel" - really a euphemism for "small and cramped with overpriced theme cocktails whose names end in 'tini'." Though Boe is not at all the worst specimen, (the food was pretty decent but too $$), I think they're going to do something a bit more interesting if they want to keep a vibrant business going. The decor is nice enough, but for some reason it looks a bit shabby in the light of day. Also, if you go close to the after work hour, be prepared to be seated uncomfortably close to high-fiving junior agents talking loudly about pilot season while brandishing piles of scripts and Daily Variety. Also, some of the staff seem confused about whether they are supposed to be serving customers or just staring blankly out at the room of patrons.

Last Review: I had heard such good things about this place. I heard that it was small and you should have a reservation because it was crowded. Oh, and the food was so good as well. Well it isn't huge, it was crowded but the food and especially the service was a dissappointment. The baby back ribs were very good but the beef ribs were fatty and tough. I can accept that there will be variances in the food but when the service stinks it makes everything worse. I might give it another try sometime just to see ifthis time was not characteristic, but not too soon.

Last Review: My family has been in the restaurant business 65 years and I can tell you this is a Quality place. The food is always prepared fresh and delicious. We eat there often. It is just like home and the owners make you feel that way. Great for Brunch on Sunday, lunch and dinners are yummy. At about 9 pm the place turns into live entertainment. Bands change often and are the best. Great place for a first date. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone and give it the coveted 5 stars!

Cafe Tu Tu Tango
Address:1000 Universal Center Dr
Universal City, CA
Phone: (818) 769-2222
Rating: 3.5
Last Review: As I live in LA the reviews I do are usually of local restaurants in the area. Cafe Tu Tu Tango at Universal Studios (Hollywood) promised a lot. It?s located in prime area in Universal City Walk - right as you walk into the area from one of the large parking structures you can?t but help to run into it. It?s also conveniently next to Jillian?s, which is an arcade and bowling place - much fun has been had there but that?s another story. Well ita??s a tapas bar aka appetizers, as my wife said "you could make a meal out of appetizers" and we mostly do when we go out. Anyway back to Tu Tu. So it was this Sunday 20th July and we were famished and very Thirsty. My wife is a wine drinker but can knock back the beers and hold her own - yes ita??s a blissful marriage. So she took one look at the wine list and said - "Leta??s order a pitcher of beimageer" of-course I immediately agreed - but then asked why - she stated that the wine list had "gone downhill" We waited for the single waitress that was tending to the outdoor area. And we waited, and waited. She did let us know that she would be right with us - so we continued to wait, and wait. My wife and I are pretty mellow and we knew she was just stretched too far, must have had come co-workers call out or something - poor chick. Finally the she came and we ordered out pitcher and food. We got from the menu - Grilled Baby Lamb Chops (I like Babies j/k lol), Stuffed Mushrooms, Chicken Empanadas, Citrus Scallops and one other thing I cana??t remember. I want to pause the review for a moment and take a trip down memory lane. Years ago when Cafe Tu Tu Tango first opened up, the food was excellent. I am still annoyed that the removed the ever popular Hurricane Shrimp from the menu - that was my fave! And the had Sangria - My wife noticed that it wasna??t there this time - How can you have a Tapaa??s Bar without Sangria!? We used to go there really often, taking friends and family. I hadna??t been for a lil while but then the opportunity came up to go there with co-workers on a night out of food, booze, bowling and some Tapaa??s. I said Tapaa??s not.. never minda?| This video highlights that we all had a blast. And to be quite honest the round of Tequillaa??s did wonders to get the evening off to a great start to a messy night! From what I recall the food was pretty good in March 2008. Anyway back to Sunday. So the food came out, the Scallops were a sorry sight, I thought they were undercooked but my wife, whoa??s a chef, said that they were fine, just crap. Well she knows her food. I couldna??t be bothered with complaining or anything as I was starving and thirsty. We ate out food. The rest came out which we then tucked into. Mushrooms were actually tasty as I remember them. Lamb chops - I got three Lilliputian super-baby lamb chops. "Wherea??s the Lamb!" Empanadas were ok too. Was a little disappointed the Sangria was off the menu. I wasna??t wowed by the food at all. My wife concurred. We worked the pitcher and she had to go to the loo. When she returned she stated that this place had gone downhill and highlighted that the bathrooms looked like junkie hangouts with a broken piss pot and no tissues. Wonderful!. So bottom line, I wont be raving about Cafe Tu Tu Tango anymore, ita??s just an ok place to go. Food is mediocre at best - if you wanna people watch and grab a pitcher - then ita??s a good patio for boozing. You want some food - go to Jilliana??s and get some fries and a game of bowling - ita??s much fun - be sure to drink copious amounts of booze beforehand for the added unpredictability of your bowling lola?| :)
